Social technologies and sociocultural dynamics

For many years now we have known the importance of technologies for social inclusion regarding to wealth distribution, disadvantaged sectors inclusion, etc. In this sense, since the last decades in our country, there are different projects addressing the problems that are facing the disadvantaged sectors of the population. Among them, the food problem is central, but the housing and energy issues are approached with proposals that, in addition to providing solutions to the demands in question, intend the training of "beneficiaries" for the continuity of long-term projects. However, many of these projects do not achieve the objectives. This is the reason why we try to contribute to the understanding why they fail to meet their initial objectives. Through a social approach to technology we try to overcome the limitations of economic and technicist approaches to account for the particularities of human groups with a variety of representations, habits and practices. At the same time, we intend to realize the importance of these factors, producing cultural particularities, for the construction of social technology.
