Description of pathological gambling in Salta

Abstract

This work was carried out during the period of 2016, jointly by researchers from the Universidad Católica de Salta, through the Research Council and the Ente Regulador del Juego de Azar of the Province of Salta, within the area of the Programa de Prevención de la Adicción al Juego. The theoretical framework of reference is the Psychoanalytic of Lacanian orientation. This describes, based on the data collected, settled in a computer system specially designed for 0800 of the aforementioned program, 702 semi-directed telephone interviews, in order to detect the particularities of people who have an addiction to gambling, in relation to the average age in which a subject begins an addiction to the game and the reasons for which suppose they took him to play. At the same time, case studies were carried out, taken at random.
