Abstract

This article explores the final report on collaborative ethnography with children in Colombia between 2016 and 2017, made by researchers from the International Network of Ethnographic Research with Children and Youth (RIENN), Colombia chapter. It is organized in three parts. The first presents, briefly, the trajectory of ethnography in Colombia. The second one makes an epistemological discussion about collaboration and participation with children, from three axes: the ethical and political aspect that defines them, their positioning as subjects, citizens and based on the previous two, the researcher - researched relationship, about the collaboration. And the third exposes the tensions and paradoxes that we find about the collaborative and the contributions to fields such as state public policy and the construction of representations about childhood, alternate to more traditional approaches.
