Abstract

Family farming is a productive sector that represents 83% of all agricultural farms in Santiago del Estero (Argentina), setting up as an important food supplier sector. In this case, an experience of family in Banda department is presented, around transfer of subsistence economy to family farming project, where the State had a key role in changes produced inside the farm due the incorporation of technology and the creation of local markets and short commercialization circuits in the period 2003-2018. The methodology used was qualitative, while the techniques were field visits, in-depth interviews, and direct observations
