Abstract

This article stems from the research project: “Work from the perspective of Gender in the face of the problematics of Disability. The exclusion-inclusion paradox” (funded by the Secretary of Science and Technology of the National University of Río Cuarto (Rectoral Resolution No. 331/2016 and 161/2016). In this academic context, this paper aims to analyze the current and hegemonic conceptions of disability, critically reflecting on the construction of that category within the framework of scientific racism. Assessing the scope of the process oriented towards the decolonizing the situation of disability in the Latin American reality, will allow us to construct political spaces that accompany the recognition and restitution of Rights for the group of people with disabilities.
