Abstract

Women take care permanently. Her bodies are for others. The sexual division of patriarchal work established a division of territories: the public to men and the domestic to women, and this continues to be the case even as feminist struggles advance and discussions on the human rights of women and girls have taken on some relevance in the global plane. Women perform double and triple working days and perform more hours of work than men. The bodies of women, as we know, are territories of disputes and conquests and the conservative reaction to the different feminist demands is felt. In this article we show advances in an investigation that uses cartography as a methodology and that allows us to review the care and self-care that women in marginal urban neighborhoods in the city of Cordoba provide and self provide. We use techniques such as focus groups and participant observation to account for the mapping that women do on care and its impact on bodies.
