Abstract

The present study analyzes cases of cervicalgia in teachers of schools from Salta, giving an account of the characteristics of this pathology in professors who work mainly in a school in the center of the city. The research was carried out in 2017 and reflects the different types of aches and pains related to cervicalgia in people who practice the teaching profession. It shows, from the case study, how the ailments that can cause cervicalgia influences the teachers and also how they can be triggers for other alterations in the body. Likewise, special focus is placed on the precarization of teaching work as a factor that affects their health, especially in the sense of the number of hours they must work and the working conditions these professionals go through to have a decent salary. As a result, it is evident the limited time these teachers have for recreational and leisure, which would allow them adequate rest, both psychologically and physically. By means of interviews and the observation of ailments in kinesiological practice, the relationship between the teaching profession and the presence of cervicalgia and associated pathologies is noticed.
