Abstract

The text reviews the University Extension Course “Indigenous peoples and higher education in Brazil and Mexico: between inclusion and the search for recognition and epistemic justice” dictated by the anthropologist Mariana Paladino at the National University of Salta on the 16th and 17th November 2018. The construction of affirmative action policies in Brazilian higher education, the problems surrounding racism and discrimination, the appropriations of indigenous youth in the university sphere and the challenges related to the interculturalization of the college. Finally, points of comparison are drawn with the situation of the indigenous students at the National University of Salta.
