Abstract

This article is the result of initial field observation work carried out with Ava Guarani communities in Trementinal, Finca Baule, Finca Medialuna and Madrejones, in the municipality of General Mosconi (San Martin Department - Salta), in the border area with Bolivia, during the year 2021. The purpose of this article is to analyze the current health and educational situation of the Ava Guaraní communities located on the banks of the Grande de Tarija River, the natural border between Argentina and Bolivia. In the first section I describe the extensionist journey that allowed me to approach the community under the construction of a set of telemedicated relationships in times of pandemic. In the second section I analyze the main findings identified during this journey, which form the basis of a research on the problems of access to health, education and food services in indigenous communities in rural border areas.
