This work proposes a characterization of the crisis of the humanities and philosophy today with the purpose of asking ourselves about the role of the teaching of philosophy. A role that goes beyond the subject, and that places us in a place where we can experience the prevailing crisis as a place to decide if we want to continue repeating the same school, as we have known it, or if necessary, ask ourselves about the possibility of reinventing the school, which will be the result not only of those of us who think critically about school today, but also that brings together a series of voices of teachers from the present and the past; of teachers and learners; and of everyone who sees school as a non-commodifiable place, and precisely, therefore, necessary, to account for a new reality and new subjectivities and empower them in freedom and dignity.
