Abstract

Research Project Nº 2952: “The construction of historical content in initial teacher training”, developed within the framework of CIUNSa, focuses on analysing the processes of configuring historical content in initial teacher training. The study addresses the decisions that trainees make when designing their teaching sequences, paying special attention to the selection and editing of content, the definition of teaching strategies, the use of resources, and the choice of study materials. These decisions are interpreted in the tension between the disciplinary knowledge of history itself and the pedagogical-didactic knowledge that mediates teaching. The research combines the analysis of final projects produced by the 2022 and 2023 cohorts and interviews with trainees. The aim is to contribute to the understanding of how future teachers construct meanings about the teaching of history and what logics these practices respond to.
